Mrs. Meta E. Haight, 100, Winchester, died on Nov. 13 at the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital, Winchester.
She was born on March 16, 1886, at Springdale, the daughter of Amos and Rose Miller DuBois.
Mrs. Haight was a member of the Winchester Christian Church, Ladies Trainmen of Sparks, Nev., past worthy matron and more than 50-year member of Valley Falls chapter No. 403 of the Order of Eastern Star, charter member of Chapter No. 25 of the Order of Eastern Star at Fernley, Nev., and a life member of Meriden Chapter No. 399 of the Order of Eastern Star at Meriden.
She was married to James Rice in 1912. He died in 1918. Her second husband, Ira Beasore, died in 1934. she was married to Arthur Haight in 1939. He died in 1970. She also was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Mrs. Gladys McDermond and a stepson, Robert Haight.
Survivors include a son, Roy Rice, Sparks, Nev.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Dorothy Upson, Reno, Nev., and Mrs. Bessie Bowman, Victorville, Calif.; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2:30 p.m. On Nov. 16 at O'Trimble Funeral Home, Nortonville. Burial was in the McLouth Cemetery.
