He and his wife Myrtle Irene had at least 9 children: Laverne (son), Irvin, Ray, Eva Irene Coleman, Neva Jane Sherfick, Margaret Fondoble, Leroy, Lula Mae Westphal, and Marie Jacobs, and possibly a 10th, Wanda Orr. After Myrtle Irene died in 1923, sometime between 1925 and 1930, he married an Ellen. Sometime between 1930 and 1942, he moved to Linn County, Oregon, possibly because his sister Nellie Fobar was also in Linn County, Oregon or she followed him out there, but it appears by his WWII registration, Ellen was no longer with him because he lists daughter Margaret Fondoble as his closest relative. Obviously after he died in Oregon, his body was brought back to Kansas to be buried with his first wife and the mother of his children, Myrtle Irene.
