Mary was the daughter of Jesse Adam Maggard and Nancy Jane Johnson (Maggard) She was the oldest sibling of the Maggard children. On the 1900 census it shows her to be 19 years old and living with her father in Benton, Christian County, Missouri. She was reported single at that time. Her mother Nancy passed in 1898. Some Ancestry trees have that she died in 1903 and was married to a George Julian Rice but that is not true as his wife Mary's maiden name was Burgess and she passed in 1909. George lived in Tennessee on both 1900 and 1910 census. So that information is not accurate. Plus Mary was still living at home in Missouri in 1900 and was single with no kids. I cant find many records after the 1900 census on Mary so i'm not sure what happened to Mary Maggard. There is one record that shows a Mary Maggart (Name could be misspelled) that married a George J. on September 28, 1901 in Christian County, Missouri. This could be the Mary Maggard but not 100% sure. Also this is why some think the other George was her husband but it cant be true as he was still married to his wife Mary in Tennessee. That's all I know on Mary Maggard
