Born on July 7, 1954, in Logansport, he was the son to Herbert D. and Mary Ann (Clapp) Bowman.
Herb worked at the Michigan Avenue Sunoco Station and had also worked at the Logansport State Hospital. Herb was a Cubs fan and an avid collector of baseball cards. His biggest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter, Chelsea (Joshua) Cates, of Logansport; three granddaughters, Alexis Nicole Bowman-Gotshall, of Logansport, Sophia Cates, of Logansport, Sailor Cates, of Logansport; sister, Susan (Rick) Reynolds, of New Waverly; two nephews, Jared (Lendzi) Wiseley, of New Waverly, Jackson Wiseley, of Logansport.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joel M. Bowman.
A celebration gathering will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory.
