She was married to Donald L. Beaver for 49 loving years, before his passing on Oct. 26, 2005. She was a devoted homemaker, who later worked at Weis Markets and later retired from Geisinger Medical Center.
She was a lifelong member of Oak Grove Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitch, playing cards and putting puzzles together. Whenever there was a family gathering, she would always make sure there was homemade peanut butter ice cream for all to enjoy. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sporting events.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: William Auten.
She is survived by three sons: Ronald (Deb), Randall (Chris) and Christopher (Debbie) Beaver, all of Danville; two daughters: Sandra Gaskins of North Carolina, Cynthia Stanchock (Edward) of New Hampshire; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Harold and Gary Auten; and two sisters: Jane Stahl and Mary "Beck" Stahl.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, at Harmony Cemetery in Milton, officiated by Pastor Gretchen Johanson.
The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions in Joyce's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.act.alz.org/donate.
