HARRY L MERTIS SR
Harry L Mertis Sr, 77, of 492 Hazle Ave, Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday in Wyoming Valley Hospital where he had been admitted earlier in the day.
A life resident of Wilkes-Barre, he was a retired plastering contractor. He was a member of Parrish Street United Methodist Church and served on its official board many years.
Surviving are his widow, the former Helen E Jacobs; son Harry J Jr of Wilkes-Barre; brother Elmer F of Rockaway NJ; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Kniffen Funeral Home, 465 S Main St, Wilkes-Barre Saturday morning at 11 with Rev Guy L Burt officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call Friday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9.
