July 15, 1922 - March 21, 2021

Bellingham, Washington - Ethel Erma Fallis passed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday morning March 21, 2021 at the age of 98.

Ethel was born on July 15, 1922 in Timmer, North Dakota, to Alice and Lawrence Bratton. She was the second youngest of seven children. Ethel spent her childhood in North Dakota, moving across the state by horse and wagon with her family in her early teens. When Ethel was 15 years old her family relocated to Eastern Washington, where she completed high school. Ethel married Cecil Fallis in 1940 in Sandpoint, Idaho, and the couple moved to Bellingham in 1946. Ethel was a dedicated member of her church, serving tirelessly in various ministries. She worked in the kitchen at First Baptist Church of Bellingham, serving meals to the homeless, until the age of 90. She loved gardening, reading, big family dinners, and good conversation over a hot cup of tea.

Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Cecil in 1999 and daughter Wanda in 2000. She is survived by her son Lynn Fallis of Bellingham and his wife Joanne, six grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren. She left a legacy of love for God, family, and friends.
