Funeral services for Mr. James E. Stockard, 75, of 608 Watson Wood Dr., Nashville, who died April 25 in Parkview Hospital in Nashville, will be held 3 p.m., April 27, Woodfin Memorial Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The Reverends Bill Chitwood, and H. E. Baker and Edwin Moore will officiate.

His parents are the late Thomas A. and Almyra Miles Stockard.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Owens Stockard and two brothers, Milton and John Stockard, both of Murfreesboro.

A life long member of Bethel Methodist Church where he was a sunday school teacher for many years, he was a retired farmer and veteran of WWI.

He was also a member of the American Legion.∼
