Lige is my Great Grand Uncle and twin brother of My Great Grandfather.

My Great Grandpa Rubens birthdate is 06 Nov 1890 and they're on the Federal Census as 1890.

Finding information for my family is very challenging as there is no 1890 census due to fire. Also a fire at the court house in Kentucky. Another thing is the name variation of Walling,Wallin,Wallen,Walden and Waldon to name a few.

Uncle Lige was part of the famous RAINBOW DIVISION which fought with French and numerous other forces against the Germans. They were there to win the last German offensive in the west near Strausburg and went on the offensive themselves pushing all the way to Austria. Rainbow also liberated Dachau one of the concentration camps of which most others were modeled. After the War the Rainbow division occupied Zell Am See,Austria where Rainbow University was established. Lige recieved a Purple Heart during his 18 months in Europe.KENTUCKY PVT 168 INFANTRY 42 DIV
