Lina Hamilton, 82, of Maben went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 9, 2020. Mrs. Hamilton and her late husband, Meek Hamilton pastored Jesus Way Maben Church for almost 40 years. Lina will always be remembered the most by her anointed singing. She blessed thousands of lives with her singing ministry.

Lina was born on April 22, 1938 to the late William "Bill" McDaniels (Deceased) and Maggie Hall-McDaniels (Deceased). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Meek Malcolm Hamilton (1933-2010) whom she married on January 18, 1956 in Brenton, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1956, Page 116, Application Date: January 18, 1956); her brother, Ralph W. McDaniels (1930-1999); sisters, Betty Jo McDaniels-Trader (Deceased), Yvonne McDaniels-Hulvey (1939-Deceased), Annie McDaniels-Faren (Deceased), Connie McDaniels-Williams (Deceased), Ola Mae McDaniels-Garfery (Deceased), and Fannie McDaniels-Acord (1932-2011).

Survivors include her daughter, Catherine Jones & husband Steven Jones of Lewisburg, WV; son, James Hamilton & wife Debbie Hamilton of Maben, WV, her grandchildren, Jennifer Patton, Grant Jones, Stephen Jones, and Amber Large; her great-grandchildren, Nethaniel Patton, Zacheriah Patton, Gabriel Patton, Jordan Jones, Emily Jones, and Maelynn Jones; her sisters, Rose McDaniels-Burris of Cambridge, OH and Mary Francis McDaniels of KY; and her nephews, Steve Acord, Terry Acord, and Billy Acord.

A private celebration of Lina’s life will be held at the Blue Ridge Mausoleum for immediate family members on Wednesday, August 12, at 11:30 am. Steven Jones, Steve Acord, and Junior Cook will be officiating the celebration. Burial service will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
