Services for Ortella Rena Harrod, 72, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Harrod died Friday, Aug. 14, 1998, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 9, 1926, in Sparksville, Ky., the daughter of William and Cora Coomer Hamilton. She was a Lawrence resident for 35 years and worked as a cook at several fraternities and nursing homes in Lawrence.
She married Virgil Harrod in March 1944. He died in 1979.
Survivors include a daughter, Yolanda Cook, Tonganoxie; two sons, Virgil Harrod Jr. and John Harrod, both of Lawrence; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to service time today at the mortuary.
