Wilburn Payne Hamilton, 67, of 811 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, died Tuesday, May 27, 1980 at the Taylor County Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 29 at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howard Lee officiating.

Interment followed in the Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jolly Hamilton, Larry Hamilton, Bobby Hamilton, Bernard Janes, Paul Gaines, and Bobby Gaines. Honorary pallbearers were J. W. Strange, A. C. Burris, Ruel Gorin, Richard Gaines, Carl Breeding, and Herbert Gorin.

He was a native of Adair County, a member of the Antioch Methodist Church and a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Lucille Breeding Hamilton of Campbellsville; two sons: Dickie Wilburn Hamilton of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Dixie Payne Hamilton of Route 4, Campbellsville; one daughter: Mrs. Donna Hamilton Burris of Route 4, Campbellsville; one brother: Mr. Guy Hamilton of Rockport, Indiana; four sisters: Mrs. Leola Janes of Columbia, Mrs. Mary Vaughn of Rockport, Indiana, Mrs. Carmen Clem and Mrs. Ortella Harrod, both of Lawerence, Kansas; five grandsons and two great-grandsons.
