Born 1784 in SC along the NC/SC border near the Broad River, the son of Hugh Quinn, Jr.
(Land records show the land ownership of Quinns on the east side and Stacys onThe west side of the Broad River)
Later he moved to Bibb County, Alabama, then to Mississippi around 1834.
(The information on County Cork, immigration, and Peedee River is erroneous. It was based on a faulty connection to William and Charles Quinn of the Georgetown District made by early Quinn researcher, P.W.Quinn, Sr., late of Glendale CA.)
All US Census records show John as born in SC, 1850,1860,1870.
