LOCK HAVEN – Funeral services were held Friday at Montoursville for Mrs. Lillian G. Bassler, widow of the Rev. J. Earl Bassler, former minister at Flemington United Methodist Church, (1951-1954).
She died Tuesday in Divine Providence hospital at Williamsport. Mrs. Bassler lived with a son, Robert L. Bassler, Williamsport, and is survived by another son, Kenneth E., Montoursville; two brothers and five sisters, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The Rev. and Mrs. Bassler were married May 14, 1914, and she had been a minister’s wife 43 years at the time of his retirement.
Mr. Bassler died June 23, 1965, a year following their celebration of their golden wedding anniversary.
