On June 16, 1957, Audrey Anne was united in marriage to Richard Myer at the United Methodist Church in Mallard. They were blessed with three children.
Audrey Anne enjoyed gardening and in her younger years did a lot of canning and freezing of the produce she and Richard raised. She served as Den Mother for Cub Scouts and enjoyed entertaining the kids living in the country by dressing up as Santa Claus. Audrey Anne had a great sense of adventure and was always willing and ready to take the grandchildren and neighbor kids on excursions. She looked forward to coffee time with her friends and family and she logged many hours driving around the area.
Audrey Anne was an active and devoted member of the United Methodist Church in Mallard where she was involved in the United Methodist Women’s group.
She passed away Monday, August 3, 2020 at Lakeside Lutheran Home in Emmetsburg, Iowa, at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Neil and Elizabeth Viola (King) Baxter; her husband, Richard; her daughter, Annette Nielsen; two brothers, William Duane (Bill) Baxter and LeRoy Baxter in childhood.
She is survived by her sons, Duane Myer and his wife, Debra of Curlew, Iowa and Larry Myer of Havelock, Iowa; son-in-law, John Nielsen of Rochester, Minnesota; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, Elizabeth Bohnen and her husband, John of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Michael Myer, his wife, Nicole and their children, Morgan, Wyatt, Tate and Emmett of Curlew, Iowa, Erik Nielsen and his wife, Jaimie of Des Moines, Iowa, Jeremy Nielsen of Dayton, Ohio, Joel Nielsen of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Faith Myer of Laurens, Iowa; as well as many other relatives and friends.
