Arthur was the son of Manirva John(Wood) and George Washington Sirmon. He married Dollie Mae Wilkins on 18 March 1925.

Arthur D. Sirmon, 60, died at his home here Saturday. Surviving are his wife and a daughter, Mrs. Dixie Campbell of Glen Rose. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Glen Rose Funeral Chapel. Copy of page 56 of the obit book from Glen Rose Hist. soc.taken from the Glen Rose Newspaper.
