Visitation and services for Bessie Mae Holsen, 93, of the DeeWood Nursing Center, Sumner, will be held at the Sivert-Macey Funeral Home, Sumner. Burial will be in the Sumner Cemetery.

Mrs. Holsen died at 9:36 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 1986, at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.

She was born to Grant Higgins and Isabel Keen on Aug. 7, 1893, in Wabash County. She married Earl Holsen in 1912, who preceded her in death in 1961. The homemaker was also a member of the Bethlehem United Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Merle Holsen, Lawrenceville, and Melvin Holsen, Olney; one daughter Mildred Correll, Palestine; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Holsen was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

SUMNER, ILL. - - Bessie May Holsen, 93, Deewood Nursing Center, died at 9:36 p.m. Sunday at Lawrence County Hospital.

A homemaker and member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, she was born Aug. 7, 1893, in Wabash County to Grant and Isabel (Keen) Higgins.

Surviving are two sons, Merle Holsen of Lawrenceville and Melvin Holsen of Olney; a daughter, Mildred Correll of Palestine; four grandchildren and five great-grandchilden. Her husband, three brothers and a sister are deceased.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. CST Wednesday at Sivert-Macey Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. CST Tuesday at the funeral home.
