He was born on March 7, 1942, in Burlington, he was the son of Robert LeRoy and Marceline Sipes Brissey. After his mother's passing, when Bob was two he was raised by his dad and stepmother, Faye George.
He was married on September 10, 1961 to Marlene Johnson in Burlington and together they raised four children, Todd, Cara, Jennifer, and Douglas.
Bob retired as a carpenter/millwright after 40 years, working for Carl A. Nelson and Millwright Services. He served on the West Burlington Fire Department for many years and later drove for Werner Trucking for 2 1/2 years.
He graduated from Burlington High School in 1960 and attended one year of junior college in Burlington.
Bob was always active in his children's lives attending all their sports activities, vocal, and band performances. Bob was a long time member of Parkside First Baptist Church serving as a deacon and teaching a Sunday School class before his health issues began.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jack Brissey, three brother-in-laws, and two nephews, David Stout and Lance Johnson.
