J. Booth Drane

Never has a man passed over the river that could claim more friends than Booth Drane. Afflicted with blindness practically all his life he never grew morbid, but always was optimistic, always having a cheerful word for everyone and his wholehearted good will endeared him to everyone in the community.

The deceased was a son of John H. Drane, deceased, who served for so many years as one of our county officers. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Susie Drane, his mother, Mrs. J. H. Drane, two brothers, Howard and Lee and three sisters, Mrs. Harpole, Mrs. Bondurant and Mrs. Taylor.

The funeral services took place at the grave in Oakwood cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Services were conducted by Rev. Martin Ball, pastor of the Baptist church.
