Lillian Mae (Bird) Lawrence was born on Sept.16,1927 in Sisseton, SD to Samuel Bird and Laura Renville Bird. Lillian grew up and attended school in the Peever, SD area. After her education she was united in marriage to Samuel A. Lawrence. The couple resided in Chicago, IL and Oakland CA in the early years of their marriage before returning to the Peever, SD area until Samuel's death in September of 1970.
Lillian enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and "watching her soaps". Lillian passed away at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND due to illness.
Lillian is survived by sons: Robin and Richard Lawrence; daughters: Sara Hayes; Sonya Lawrence and her adopted daughter: Joni Lawrence and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lillian is preceded in death by her parents: Sam and Laura; husband: Samuel; four brothers: Kenneth; Milton; Curtis and Lincoln; and 3 sisters: Thelma; Beverly and Karen.
