Eula Mae Hood
Mrs. Eula Mae Hood, 87, of Winona, died Feb. 24, 2001, of heart failure at her residence in Winona. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Winona. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin K. Hood, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Cooper Hitt.
Funeral services were held Feb. 26 at Oliver Chapel with the Rev. John L. Walker officiating and the Rev. T.R. Darsey assisting. Burial was in oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Hood is survived by three daughters, Annie Mae Blaylock, Eloise Thomas, Drusilla McClure, all of Winona; one son, Lloyd Hood, of Winona; one brother, Howard Hitt of Grenada; six grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bob Blaylock, Jr., Lloyd Hood, Jr., Michael Hood, Danny Woods, Raymond Acy and Ken Pickens.
Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
