Naomi was the daughter of Solomon (1747-1821) and Mary Ann (Thompson) Sproles (1750-?) and the wife of William Bostick,Sr, (1768-1829) whom she married 24 May 1791 at Richmond Co., N.C. In 1826 Wm. Bostick and wife Naomi are recorded on the rolls of the newly organized Saron Baptist Church in Richmond Co., N.C. The 1850 Richmond Co., N.C. (Fairgrounds District) census lists Naomi Bostick, a widow, age 75, blind. Her gravestone shows her death as July of 1852 in her 79th year. Naomi and William's children were: Elizabeth (1792-1880), Solomon (1795-?), William Jr (1798-1859?), James (1800-1854), Elijah (1802-1842) & Elisha (1802-?) (twins), Tristram (1805-1876), Naomi, Ann and Mary. Naomi Sproles Bostick had a younger brother, Richard Sproles (1787-1845). About 1833 he and many of the Sproles families that had settled Richmond County moved west to Holmes County, Mississippi.
