DEATH OF MRS. HORNBECK
Fairbury, May 6 – Mrs. Henry
Hornbeck passed away at the home of her daughter, two miles southeast of this city, Thursday evening (May 9, 1920), following an illness of three weeks duration.
Sarah Jane Moore, daughter of Isom and Polly Moore, was born March 4, 1842. She grew to womanhood in this vicinity. December 4, 1860, she was united in marriage with Preston Harrison, now deceased. To this union were born the following children: Mrs. William Way and Mrs. Rosana Thorp, now deceased; Benjamin Harrison of Michigan and Mrs. Henry Darnall of Pontiac.
Mrs. Harrison married Henry Hornbeck January 3, 1878. Born to this union were Henry B., Harry Dell and Harvey, all deceased; Mrs. William C. Wilson of Colorado and Mrs. William Henderson, now on the home farm.
Mrs. Hornbeck was a woman of Christian character and of philanthropic disposition. The latter years of her life were spent in the Christian Science church. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henderson, Rev. C.S. Davies of the Presbyterian Church officiating.
