This union was blessed with nine children, namely; Edd of Yuma, CO; Mrs. Elizabeth Northcutt of Lyndon Kansas; Mrs. Idella Northcutt of Yuma, CO; Granville of Reading Ks; Marvin of Stronsburg Neb.; Mrs. Mamie Dotson of McFall
MO; Roy of Oceola, Neb,; and Floyd at home. Besides his devoted wife and children he leaves to mourn his going, four brothers and two sisters. All were present except John of Admire, Kansas. Also a host of friends and relatives.
he accepted Christ as his personal Savior during a revival meeting at the old New Castle church and later united with the Methodist church at Matkins. Mr. Parks was a man of noble character, very generous and sympathetic, a kind and
loving husband and father and a good citizen. He numbered his friends by acquaintences, no one could know him, but to honor and respect him. He will be sadly missed by the home, church and this community. Sunday, April 25, funeral
services were conducted by Rev. Bloomfield at the Matkins church. The choir sand, "What a friend" and "We will never say good bye in heaven". The body was taken to the Foster cemetery for burial. The sons acted as pallbearers. A
very large crowd was present to pay their last respects to this good and noble man.
