Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday for M. J. Butler, 74, of 606 Euclid avenue, who died unexpectedly at his home Saturday.

Butler had been employed by the Victoria Sash and Door company for the past 43 years.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Cora Bridges [sic Bridger] Butler of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Faust of Hammond and Mrs. C. E. Drott of Pontchatoula, and two brothers, Collins Butler of Memphis, Tenn., and Dempsey Butler of Shreveport. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The rites will be held at Osborn Funeral home chapel with the Rev. Cleburne W. Quaid, associate pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Cuthbert, Jr., Abie Levy, J. Reece Jones, Jr., Albert Fox, Arthur Morgan, Fred Organ, Louie Levy and E. O. Brown.
