Larry David Beanblossom, 83, of New Albany, died Friday, July 17, 2020, at his home in New Albany. He was born November 11, 1936, in New Amsterdam, Indiana, to the late Daniel and Sylvia Curts Beanblossom.

Larry graduated from Corydon High School where he was on the basketball team and was a member of the marching band. After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force. He was retired from Independent Container in Louisville and later in life went back to work with Independent Container II. Larry was a member of the New Amsterdam United Methodist Church, was an avid basketball fan, and loved bowling, golfing and square dancing with his wife, June.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dolores K. "June" Kitterman Beanblossom; his brother, Arthur McKinley Beanblossom; and his sister, Rose Marie Beanblossom.

Survivors include his daughters, Michele Lynn Beanblossom of New Albany and Shannon G. White (Chuck) of Lexington, Kentucky; his sister, Blanche L. Allen of New Albany; his grandchildren, Daniel Beanblossom (Tonya) and Grace White; and his great grandchildren, Devon and Jaydon Beanblossom.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2020 Rev. Harriett Akins-Banman will officiate. Burial will be in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
