Kenly, NC: Mrs. Ernestine Barbour Maynard, 78, was called to her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 14, 2020 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Graveside Services will be Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 11:00AM at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier. Rev. Steve Swagger will officiate.

Mrs. Maynard was born on December 7, 1941 in Harnett County to the late Marvin Barbour and Mary Anna Woods Barbour and She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlist Maynard, and two sons, Larry Maynard and Timothy Maynard; her siblings, Roy Barbour, Wade Barbour, Mary Lou Barbour, and J.C. Barbour.

Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Stuart and Angela Maynard of Sanford, and Jeremy Maynard of Kenly; siblings Melvin Barbour of Benson and Elsie Barbour Tart of Dunn; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Maynard will be available for viewing and you may sign the register book from Noon to 5:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson on Friday, July 17, 2020 and the family will not be present at this time.

In accordance with the current NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made online or checks mailed to Johnston Health Foundation Hospice House, PO Box 1376, Smithfield, NC 27577.
