Arline Alston Cornwell, 89, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, July 17, 2020 in DeRidder, LA. Arline, the daughter of Claiborne and Oddie (Miers) Alston was born on February 9, 1931, in Singer, Louisiana.
Arline was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed raising vegetables in her own garden and cooking for her family and friends. She loved reading her Bible, attending church services and listening to her christian music.
Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Bobby Cornwell of DeRidder, LA, David Cornwell and wife Mary of Merryville, LA, Curtis Cornwell and wife Julia of Merryville, LA; daughters, Linda Miers and husband Tommy of DeRidder, LA, Patsy Sellers and husband John of Youngsville, LA, Candice Rucker and husband (Christopher) of Merryville, LA; daughter-in-law, Kathy Cornwell of Merryville, LA; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Cornwell; daughter, Debbie Cornwell and son, Richard Cornwell; grandsons, Bobby G. Cornwell and Lynn B. Cornwell, II, and Infant great grandchildren Hollie and Alivia.
Serving as pallbearers are Patrick Cornwell, Chuckie Beard, Carson Beard, Shane Sellers, Chris Rucker and Brady Myers.
