Larna Anderson Thacker, age 85, passed away Monday, September 27, 1999, in Heber City.
Born August 3, 1914, in Daniel, the daughter of Parley Seymore and Sarah Elizabeth Oaks Anderson. She lived all her life in Daniels. Married Murray Durrant Thacker on the 14th day of February 1922 and was later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. The welcome mat was always out for family and friends. You never left her home hungry. She always took pride in taking care of her family, home, garden, and flowers.
She was a faithful active member of the LDS Church, where she served as Primary Blazer Teacher, Young Womens President, organist and various others but he most cherished position was serving with her husband in the Provo Temple for seven years.
Preceded in death by her husband, Murray Durrant Thacker; a grandchild, Kameron Thacker, and a great-granddaughter, Cherish Thacker; three brother, Lynn, Deal, Ardean Anderson, and two sisters, Alda Davis and Nettie A. Davis Hanley.
Survivors include Joyce (George) Murphy, Roy (Beverly) Thacker, Jay (Valerie) Thacker, Neil (Tanya) Thacker, Phil
(LaRae) Thacker, Andy (Nicole) Thacker, 30 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Bill (Carol) Anderson, St. George; Arvin (Ardean) Anderson, Woodland; one sister, Belva Esauk, of Oregon.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1, at 12 noon at the Heber East Stake LDS Church, South Highway, 40. Friends may call Thursday, September 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Olpin Hoopes Funeral Home, and 10:45 to 11:45 prior to services.
Interment will be in the Heber City Cemetery.
