CLARION - Frank Armagost, 66, of Clarion RD2, formerly of Madera died Nov. 11, at his home. Born Sept 9, 1907 in Clarion County, he was the son of Joseph S. and Alice (Crooks) Armagost. He was married to the former Alda Elizabeth Wampler, who preceded him in death in 1958. He was married in 1964 to Pearl Edith Elder, who survives. Mr. Armagost was a member of the Curllsville United Methodist Church. He was a retired coal miner. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Robert (Sue) Himes of Brookville; Mrs. Rodney (Mary Alice) Smith of South Caroline; Emma Fay Armagost of Charlotte, Mich.; Mrs. Harry (Elizabeth Ann) Millford and Phyllis Jean Armagost of Greenville; three sons, Roy Lee of Parker; John R. of Bruin and Joseph S. of Newport News, Va.; seven step-children, Leonard W. and Donald Elder of Clarion; Mrs. Harry (Lillie) Stoval of California; Mrs. Alfred (Dorothy) Slatt of Chicago, Ill.; Richard Elder of Union City; Mrs. Martin (Ruth) Erickson of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Robert (Carolyn) Skinner of Chantney, Ill. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Emma Shoffstall of Brookville, and two brothers, John Armagost of Corsica and Robert Armagost of Hawthorn. Funeral were held Nov. 14 at Clarion.
