Joseph Abello, Jr., passed away at home on July 8, 2020. He was 77. Born in Jersey City Joe lived most of his life in Kearny. Arrangements are by the Wilfred Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home in Kearny. There will be visting at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 until 5 p.m. His Funeral Mass and Entombment will be private. Joe was a letter carrier in Kearny for many years and after retirement from The Post Office he worked as a driver for H and B Pharmacy. He loved bowling and a great game of cards. He was the loving son of the late Joseph Abello, Sr. and Marie (nee Mattaliano). Beloved husband of Violet (nee Pica) , he is the cherished father of Joseph Abello, III, Paul Abello (his wife Lucia) and Vincent Abello. He was the brother of the late Anthony Abello and brother in law of the late Jean Abello. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Alyssa Marie and Joseph Michael along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
