Mrs. Cothren was retired from the Mississippi Dept. of Human Services. She was a member of Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Walter Allen and Jewell Cothren; her parents, Thomas Jefferson Hancock and Linnie Pittman Hancock; five brothers, Ray, Delos, Devon, Riley and T.J. Hancock; and one sister, Flora Valentine.
She was survived by her sister, Johnny Parsons of Bogue Chitto; nieces and nephews.
