Born in Geneva, WI, daughter of Theodore S. and Caroline (Potter) Pierce, husband of 1) Hiram Hill, m. Jun 7, 1873, & 2) 3rd wife of Thomas J. Prentice, m. Sep 8, 1888.

Mrs. Prentice is a daughter of T.S. Pierce, an old settler near Bower, who came to Nebraska with ox-teams in the spring of 1869 and filed on a homestead in Richland Precinct. Mr. Pierce was born in New York, in 1828, and was married to Miss Caroline Potter in 1847. The following are the children: J.J. Pierce, Mrs. Augusta Prentice, Henry, Theodore, David, Emma, Fred, Caroline, Lulu, and Elwin. Ms. Prentice is living in Sec. 33, Richland Precinct.
