"The Journal Gazette" (Fort Wayne, IN) - Saturday, December 26, 1998: "John P. Jackson, 75, died Thursday at Goshen General Hospital. Born in Elwood, he was a retired tool and die maker for General Motors in Anderson. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor; a daughter, Diana Morris of Caldwell, Texas; three sons, David, Dale and Daniel, all of Warsaw; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edith Hickner of Lafayette, and Jane Anne Preston and Juanita Jackson, both of Elwood; and a brother, James of Elwood. Services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse. Calling from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition, with military rites."
