Obituary from The Deseret News (Salt Lake City, UT) - 28 July 2013:
Mae Hancock passed away peacefully early morning Saturday, July 27, 2013. Mae was born in Moreland, Idaho, March 30, 1924 to Truel Arvina and Ardella Mae Walton Grimmett. Married Reid Owen Hancock on June 21, 1945, in St. Francis, Kansas. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
They had three children: Monte (Sherry) Hancock; Vicki (Don) Hiddleson; Jolene Moses. Grandchildren: Lauren, Steve, Amber, April, and Angie, and their families.
Mae was a lifelong member of the LDS church and proud of her genealogy work. Mae loved her family. She was a homemaker and loved working in her yard. Mae especially loved meeting her friends at Smiths Food King!
Mae is survived by children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, Elaine Hudson, brother, Ralph Grimmett. Preceded in death by husband, parents and three brothers.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 11:00am at Salt Lake First Ward, 760 E. 700 So., where friends may call from 9:30-10:45am. Burial at Elysian Gardens.
