Ralph Dale Grimmett, 79, of Sugar City Idaho, passed away January 27, 2016.

He was born in Moreland Idaho on January 21, 1937 to Truel and Ardella Grimmett.

Ralph graduated from Snake River High School in 1955.

On February 24, 1955 Ralph married Carol Fife.

Together they brought four children into the world, first being Dayle Ann, then Carrolee Sue, then Richard Ralph and the last being Karlene Kaye. They continued to live in Moreland until 1964. Ralph decided to take a position with Idaho Power in Payette. They finished raising the family and retired in Payette. After a few years of retirement, they decided to move to Boise in 2003. Ralph and Carol enjoyed many friend and family visits while living in Boise. In May of 2015 they decided to move to the Rexburg area to be closer to family members.

Ralph is survived by his wife Carol; sister, Elaine Hudson; and his four children, Dalye Ann Updagraff, Carrolee Sue Goodwin, Richard Ralph Grimmett and Karlene Kaye Peterson; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Truel Grimmett and Ardella Walton; and siblings, Duane Grimmett, Milton Grimmett, Mae Hancock and Grant Grimmett.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Family will meet with friends for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be held at the Moreland Cemetery.
