Owen Shinnebarger Died Sunday Morning In Nursing Home
Owen Shinnebarger of Mt. Sterling, died at 7:35 a.m. Sunday, February 3, 1974 at the Myers Nursing Home in Beardstown. He was 81 years of age.
He was born in brown County June 22, 1892. He was married to Ethel Mae Scott and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John (Betty) Tirone of Woodrige, New Jersey and Mrs. Milton (Beatrice) Hubbard of Quincy. There are four grandchildren surviving with a brother, Ray Shinnebarger of Quincy and a sister, Esta Syrcle of Pekin.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Mr. Shinnebarger was a retired auto mechanic.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Benville cemetery with Rev. Lee Reffett officiating.
Pallbearers were Joe Shinnebarger, Milton Hibbard Sr., David Yuchs and Milton Hibbard Jr.
Hufnagel Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
