He was born September 5, 1918 in Nicholas County to the late William S. and Gertrude Ellington Flora, was a retired farmer, a W.W.II Army veteran, a member of the V.F.W. and a member of the Moorefield United Methodist Church.
Survivors include 2 sons, James Allen (Barbara) Flora, Sr., Lexington, & Jeffery Lane (Christy) Flora, Carlisle, a step-daughter Mary Margaret (Lester) Emmons, Fleming Co., 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Gaylord Gillispie. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
