Mrs. Lucy C. Bryant and Willis Edgar Turner were married in Riverside last evening. Mrs. Bryant is a well-known resident of San Bernardino, daughter of the pioneer Garner family, and herself a prominent member of the Pioneer society here.
The announcement will come as a surprise to the friends of both bride and groom. The bride’s home has been at 641 Fifth street, but until further news is received, the place of the future home is not known.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Willis Turner (Mrs. Lucy Bryant) whose marriage in Riverside a few days ago was a great surprise to their friends, are here and have been kept busy receiving the congratulations of their friends. They are at the bride’s home in Fifth street.

Was the marriage annulled shortly afterward? There is no record of them in the 1920 census - and very little record of Willis Edgar Turner at all other than the marriage record.

It was Sister Lucy Bryant’s birthday and she was presented with a cake made by Sister Frances Downey. It turned out there were cakes from others too, R. F. Garner, her brother, being among the number. Also there was coffee that was served with the cake and all expressed their pleasure at being arrested by Sister Crandall.
