Howard Binns Adamson

Early Life: Howard was born October 30, 1927, in Circleville, Utah, to David Duane and Fae Binns Adamson. He was raised most of his life in Alpine, Utah, attending high school in American Fork, where he met the love of his life, Karma Van Wagoner.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: Howard and Karma were 17 years old when they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 22, 1945. He and Karma had seven children. They had been married for 50 years and Karma passed away February 6, 1996. He married Judy Johnson Parkinson on August 15, 1997; she died in 2015. Howard worked at Geneva Steel in the open hearth for 36 years. He was also a full-time farmer and enjoyed working on the farm. He loved riding horses, fishing and hunting with his family. For a time, he served as Chief of Police for the city of Alpine, Utah. As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Howard served in many ward and stake callings. He was a temple worker and served in the Provo Utah Temple as well as the Manti Utah Temple for many years. He also had the opportunity to be a guide at the Paris Idaho Tabernacle for one summer. Howard loved playing his trumpet and played in Howard Nelson’s Orchestra in the 1940s. He was a tenor in the well-known Alpine Quartet that performed for many decades, and also served as the Alpine Days Band director for many years. Howard Binns Adamson passed from this life June 20, 2020. He was 92.

Survived By: Five of seven children: Kathy Beck (Ken), Jim Adamson (LeeAnn), Kendall Adamson (Susan), Rachelle Beardall (Mont), Debra Murdock (Gary). He has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren that he was very proud of.
Preceded In Death By: His wives; his sons, Shaun and David Adamson; his parents and at least two siblings, Donna Chadwick and Margene Marsh.
