Geraldine Bridges Humphries, age 88, of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

Born January 22, 1932, in Cleveland County, NC; daughter of the late Aaron Denton Bridges (1909–1991) and Ruby Vassey Bridges (1911–1997); wife of the late Charles Yates Humphries.

A faithful member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church; and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survived by a daughter, Suzanne George (Robbie); grandchildren, Jeremy George (Summer) and Steven George (Shelly); three grandchildren, Kaylee, Kenslee, and Grantley George; sister, Jo Neil Scruggs (J.T.); niece, Donna VanDyke (Cecil); and nephews, Chris Scruggs and Craig Scruggs (Amber).

Also preceded in death by her son, Charles Lynn Humphries (1953–1973); and sister, Doris Julia Bridges Splawn (1930–2005).

Graveside service held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Cleveland Memorial Park.
