Mahlon W. Cammack, 69 years old, a retired coal miner, of Jasonville, Indiana, died at 8:10 o'clock Saturday morning in the Freeman Greene County hospital. He had been in failing health for three years but had been seriously ill only 10 days. Funeral services are held this afternoon at the McClanahan Funeral Home at Jasonville, with the Rev. Lloyd Miller officiating, and burial was made in the Worthington cemetery, with the Masonic lodge conducting graveside rites. Mr. Cammack was born in Independence, Kansas on Sept. 27, 1885, the son of John and Elma Haworth Cammack. He had resided at Cicero, Indiana and at Oakland City, Indiana, and had been employed as a coal miner for 27 years at Oakland City before moving to Jasonville about three years ago. Mr Cammack was a member of the Friends Church at Noblesville, Indiana and a member of the Cicero Masonic lodge and the Uniter Mine Workers at Oakland City. He is survived by the widow Mrs Elsie Cammack, one son , Charles Cammack, with the U.S. Air Force in Japan, and three sisters, Mrs.Jesse Jennings and Mrs. Della Gillum, both of Cicero, Indiana, and Mrs. Martha Snover of Superior,Montana.
