Sarah, daughter of Peter & Hester Pippenger, born in Carroll Co., In, May 5, 1827, died at her home in Cerro Gordo, Il. Sept. 4, 1913, aged 86 yrs., 3 m & 29 ds. Her husband, Daniel Fouts, was called to his reward Sept. 29, 1886. Four sons & two daughters survive. Sister Fouts was confined to her bed almost entirely, during the last three years of her life, & suffered a great deal. She united with the Church of the Brethren at the age of seventeen years, & remained faithful. Services at the church in Cerro Gordo by Elders D. M. Adams & Daniel Mohler. Interment in the West Frantz cemetery.
