Anjilena was the daughter of Calvin Cheairs and Winnie L. Reeder Cheairs. She was the twin sister of Rev Andrew Cheairs. She was educated in the Hardeman County School System and attended Bolivar Industrial High School. She relocated to Chicago, Illinois for a number of years but eventually returned to Grand Junction, Tennessee. She was employed with Harmon Automotive until she was injured in an auto accident. She was known in the Grand Junction community as the "snow cone lady".
She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, which later became the River of Life International Ministries. While remaining connected with her home Church, she became Minister Of Music at her brother's Church, Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church from 1989 until her death. Along with her father, she started a family gospel group, The Seven Star Juniors. She was a member of Rev Andrew Cheairs And The Gospel Songbirds of Grand Junction.
She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Francis Cheairs.

2 Daughters: Wanda Dubose Henderson(Tyrone) and Teresa Polk(Frank).
1 Son: Andrew Cheairs Jr.(Chandra).
1 Brother: Rev. Andrew Cheairs(Gladys).
3 Sisters: Emily Thompson, Bettie Trice(Milton) and Patricia Cheairs.
5 Grandchildren: Earl Dubose, Patrice Cheairs, Jarell Cheairs, Andrika Cheairs and Chandrea Cheairs.
4 Great Grandchildren: ZaMari Davidson, ZaCardi Davidson, ZaCobi Davidson and Jayceon Dubose.
Services were held Saturday, June 26, 2020 in the Sanctuary of St Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Byhalia, Mississippi with her twin brother, Dr Andrew Cheairs Sr officiating.
