Mrs. Mary C. Adams, died at her residence, on Saturday night, April 13, 1879. She has been a resident of Lowville for more than fifty years, and was well and widely known. She was the third daughter of Gen. Oliver Collins, of New Hartford, Oneida Co., N. Y., and born March 5, 1803. She was married to the Dr. Seth Adams, of Lowville, in August, 1827.
Her sisters elder, married, the one Gov. Doty, of Wisconsin, formerly of Lewis county, and the other Gen. G. D. Ruggles, who resided in this county until 1840.
The only survivors, of the large family of Gen. Collins, are Mrs. Ruggles, Judge Collins, of Appleton, Wis, and the youngest daughter, wife of Gen. Julius A. White, of Chicago. On coming to Lowville to reside, Mrs. Adams united with the M. E. Church, by letter from the Presbyterian Church, of New Hartford, over which Rev. Mr. Coe was pastor…

Mrs. Mary C. Adams, died at her residence, on Saturday night, April 13, 1879. She has been a resident of Lowville for more than fifty years, and was well and widely known. She was the third daughter of Gen. Oliver Collins, of New Hartford, Oneida Co., N. Y., and born March 5, 1803. She was married to the Dr. Seth Adams, of Lowville, in August, 1827.
Her sisters elder, married, the one Gov. Doty, of Wisconsin, formerly of Lewis county, and the other Gen. G. D. Ruggles, who resided in this county until 1840.
