Zacharias Rothrock was the sixth of ten known children of Johann Georg (went by George) Rothrock (1721-1806) and Elizabeth Roemig (1721-1798), who married c1746 at presumably Pennsylvania (perhaps Bucks County).

Zacharias first married to Catharine Trapp (1765-1791) in c1780 in presumably Pennsylvania. Catharine died at Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. Zacharias and Catharine were the parents of seven known children, namely:

1. Elizabeth Rothrock (1781-???) (perhaps Maria Elizabeth Rothrock Miksch (1781-1867)?
2. Solomon Rothrock (1782-1783)
3. Valentine Rothrock (1784-1851)
4. Mary Rothrock Corbett (1785-1831)
5. Susanna Rothrock (1787-???)
6. Sarah Rothrock (1789-???) (perhaps Sarah Louisa Rothrock (1790-1861)?
7. Zachariah Rothrock (1790-1876)

After Catharine died, Zacharias remarried to the widow Mrs. Rosina Labar (???-???) in presumably Pennsylvania. Rosina was the widow of Abraham Labar, of Easton, Pennsylvania. The marriage of Zacharias and Rosina was unsuccessful, as by an agreement dated 14 Feb 1794 Zacharias of Easton gave Rosina, his wife, from whom he was separated, full possession of a house on Hamilton Street, Easton, and a lot of five acres that Rosina had inherited from her first husband Labar.

Zacharias thirdly married to Elizabeth (last name unknown) (1773-29 Nov 1857) in c1800 at presumably Pennsylvania (perhaps Mifflin County). Zacharias and Elizabeth were the parents of seven known children, namely:

8. Jonas Rothrock (1801-1894)
9. David rothrock (1803-1886)
10. Barbara Rothrock Haughawout (1807-1897)
11. Nancy Rothrock Reynolds (1811-p1850)
12. Joseph Rothrock (c1808-1854)
13. William Rothrock (1813-1842)
14. Catherine Rothrock (???-c1834)

All the children appear to have been born in Pennsylvania. The order of birth of daughter Catherine is uncertain.

At the age of 18 Zacharias served in the militia in the Revolution in Captain Wigner's Company in 1781 (Penns. Arch. (5) 5 p. 343). He was taxed as a distiller in 1781 and 1782. He was taxed in 1784 with no land and three inhabitants. In the 1790 U.S. Census he was listed in Upper Mt. Bethel Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania with one male under 16 and five females. His principal occupation was that of a miller.

Did Zacharias and Elizabeth really move to Ohio? Perhaps late in life with one of the children? Or did Zacharias reallly die in Pennsylvania?

Links to Zacharias' parents, five of his fourteen known children and five of his nine known siblings are included below.
