Alex Ebach

RUGBY - Alex Ebach, 86, died May 28, 2007, in Heart of America Center, Rugby. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at Little Flower Catholic Church, Rugby. Interment will be in Little Flower Church Cemetery, Rugby.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Anderson Funeral Home, Rugby, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday.

Alex was born Feb. 15, 1921, the son of Michael and Katherine (Kloetzel) Ebach in Balta. He attended Spruce Hill Grade School, rural Barton, and Rugby High School. He farmed on the family farm north of Rugby and retired into Rugby living in East Side Village. Following major illness and surgery, he moved into the Haaland Home.

Alex was a lifetime member of the John F. Kennedy Assembly No. 0786 Knights of Columbus and the Germans from Russia.

Alex is survived by his sisters, Eve Childress, Rugby, Agnes Tallarico, Pittsburgh, Clara Ebach, Rugby, Theresa O'Connell, Palos Heights, Ill., Mary Ebach, Rugby, and Carol (Doug) Brown, Larimore; one sister-in-law, Barbara Ebach, Minot; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clemence, John and Matt; two sisters, Lee and Elizabeth Schmidt; and four brothers-in-law, John Schmidt, Lou O'Connell, Neil Childress Sr. and Michael Tallarico. (Brown Funeral Home, Larimore)
