She married Homer Joseph Custead Jan. 1, 1908 and together they raised 9 children: Clara Minerva (1908-1994), Oliver Joseph (1910-1992), Homer John (1912-2002), Mary Angeleen (1914-1995), Paul Allen (1915-1999), George Lee (1919-1999), Earl Butler (1926-1968), Elmer (1928---) and Ruth (1933---).
