Tia Ramona passed away last night, June 20, 2020 in Redlands, California. She was born on March 5, 1942 in Gallup New Mexico to Antonio "Tony" Gonzales Sr. and Rebecca Marquez Gonzales. She was baptized " Maria Ramoncita Gonzales".
She was the youngest of four daughters: Her eldest sister: Adelaida died at 3 months of age and her eldest brother: Candido died at the age of 1 year and 8 months. Carmen was the eldest, then Eppie, Rosemary, Ernie was older then Ramona and Tony the youngest. She grew up in Gallup, then moved to Santa Fe with the family and later to California where she met and married her husband: William "Bill" Ramos. After raising their children, they moved to New Mexico and returned last year to California.
Tia Ramona dealt with Lupus, diabetes and dementia in the years up to and to her last days.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years: Bill, her sons: Lawrence and Edward and step-children: Michael, Tony and several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister: Eppie and Rosemary and brother: Anthony "Tony" Jr..
She was preceded in death by her parents: Antonio and Rebecca Marquez Gonzales; brothers: Candido and Ernie Gonzales; sisters: Adelaida Gonzales and Carmelita "Lita" Gonzales Brooks.
