In Denver, he established the Denver Distributing Co., a very successful distributorship and operator of Rock-Ola, Wurlitzer, and other brand juke boxes and amusement machines. In Sept 1950, at age 43, he retired and returned to Roanoke where he purchased approximately 2,000 acres of land and began development for cattle raising.
